At Sawtry Infant School all children are entitled to a piece of fruit at snack time/play times. This snack is free and is delivered straight to school.

However we do understand that sometimes children will prefer a snack from home. 

If a snack is brought in from home it must be clearly labelled with your child's name. Play time snacks can be one of the following or similar:

- a piece or portion of fruit

- a piece of portion of vegetables

- cheese

- a healthy, nut free cereal bar

- rice cakes

If you are not sure if your child's snack is appropriate, please speak to your child's class teacher.

Children can also have milk. Please check the Cool Milk page on our Key Information tab for more information regarding registering your child for milk.

Children should not have crisps, biscuits, cakes or chocolate at snack time. 

Fizzy drinks are not allowed in school. Children must always have a bottle of water in school with them and this must be clearly named.
